Convenient weekly curbside recycling and solid waste removal is provided to City residents at an affordable price, with a special discount rate for residents 65 years and older.

Trash and recycling containers shall be set out after 6 PM the night before collection and removed by 8 PM the day of collection. Trash and recycling containers shall be stored to the side or rear of the property and not in front of the property.

Up to six (6) 32 gallon/30 pound bags of trash per week will be collected from each household. Bags must be tied or closed to prevent litter, spillage, or attracting rodents. Smaller bags, such as grocery bags, used to collect trash in the home must be placed in larger heavy plastic trash bags or trash containers for curbside collection.

One (1) over-sized item a week is allowed in place of two (2) trash bags/cans. An oversized item is an item that does not fit in a trash container, is no heavier than 60 pounds, is no bigger than 6 feet in any dimension, is not a tire, is not a large appliance, and does not contain refrigerant (no air conditioners). Examples of oversized items are: chair, end table, small mattress, etc.

Large 96-gallon curb carts are available from the City’s hauler for an additional fee of $5/month, collected directly by the hauler. A curb cart is equivalent to three (3) regulation trash containers.
