“I am delighted to invite all Lancastrians to the 2021 State of the City address. It is no secret 2020 presented us with distinct challenges, but our neighbors, businesses, and city government adapted and persevered. As we enter a new year, the City of Lancaster, its employees, its leadership team, and myself, are eager to get to work providing both essential services and ongoing progress toward a stronger, more equitable Lancaster,” says Mayor Sorace.

The “State of the City” is an annual address to Lancaster City residents, community members, and stakeholders that began with Mayor Sorace’s first year in office. The first State of the City address introduced Mayor Sorace’s strategic plan for the City, “Block by Block,” and outlined four main priorities for the city government’s work: Strong Neighborhoods, Safe Streets, Secure Incomes, and Sound Government.
