Lancaster to Celebrate Mayor’s Neighborhood Month in June

June 1, 2022 | Department of Neighborhood Engagement

Mayor’s Neighborhood Month, a celebration of Lancaster’s vibrant and diverse neighborhoods, will take place in June hosted in collaboration with neighbors and community groups and the City of Lancaster. From block parties to treasured traditions like Celebrate Lancaster, the City of Lancaster will come alive with celebrations of our residents and the neighborhoods they call home throughout June.

“Our neighborhoods and the residents who call them home are the foundation of our city. It is a joy to dedicate a month in celebration of these essential, life-giving spaces. Let us connect face-to-face, meet a new neighbor, and celebrate the vibrant, beautiful communities that fill our blocks, our parks, and our homes. Lancaster, I’m so glad to be your neighbor,” said Mayor Danene Sorace.

The Mayor’s Neighborhood Month celebration will include three block parties, a community cookout, Music Friday, Celebrate Lancaster and more. The City of Lancaster’s Department of Neighborhood Engagement is spearheading this collaboration between neighbors, community groups, and community organizations to bring our neighborhoods together.

The Department of Neighborhood Engagement is also conducting a neighborhood pride survey during Neighborhood Month. This survey is a way of collecting information that represents the views of Lancaster residents. The survey can be found at form.jotform.com/220435435516148.
