Director of Administrative Services Patrick Hopkins to Retire in 2023

September 1, 2022 | Administrative Services Mayor's Office

Patrick Hopkins, Director of Administrative Services for the City of Lancaster, has announced his retirement, effective June 30, 2023, after more than 20 years of service to the city under three separate Administrations.

“It has been the honor of my life to serve my City and our residents for more than 20 years under Mayor Stork, Mayor Gray, and Mayor Sorace. I have seen more positive changes in City government during my tenure than I can list and I’m proud to have played a part in making the City of Lancaster a model for other cities across Pennsylvania,” said Hopkins in his resignation letter. After June 30, 2023 Patrick will continue to serve as a consultant with the City.

“Patrick has been a true public servant to Lancaster and I’m grateful for his service over so many years and so much change,” said Mayor Danene Sorace, “and with change at this level comes much appreciation for all Patrick has done and opportunity to craft the next chapter of essential city operations.”
