Tree Problems

All trees are the responsibility of the property owner, including, but not limited to, street trees that are in the public right of way. If a tree becomes hazardous then it is the property owner’s responsibility to resolve the hazard in a timely manner. The City is responsible for enforcing the Tree Ordinance and for maintaining trees on City-owned property.

A tree has fallen on a sidewalk, street, alley, or other public right of way. What should I do?

A tree is creating problems for a powerline or utility pole. What should I do?
