See below for a list of upcoming event-related street closures. Police may choose to close other streets for safety purposes without notice. For information street closures related to road work and construction projects, go to www.cityoflancasterpa.com/resident/road-construction.

The following blocks will be closed at the following times for block parties:

LANCASTER PRINTERS FAIR

The 300 block of North Queen Street will be closed on Saturday, September 15 for the Lancaster Printers Fair. 

7:00 AM 
The 300 block of North Queen Street, from Walnut Street to Lemon Street, will close.

5:00 PM
The 300 block of North Queen Street will re-open. 

EUCHARISTIC PROCESSION

On Saturday, September 22, a eucharistic procession will travel from St. Joseph's Catholic Church (440 Saint Joseph Street) to San Juan Batista (425 South Duke Street), stopping at St. Mary's Catholic Church (119 South Prince Street) and the Lancaster County Courthouse (50 North Duke Street) on the way. Please see the route below. The procession will require a rolling street closure, meaning streets will reopen as the procession passes through. The procession will take roughly two hours, ending around 11:00 AM.

AFRICAN FESTIVAL

The 100 block of North Queen Street will be closed on Saturday, September 22 for the 10th annual Rafiki Africa African Festival. 

12:00 PM
The 100 block of North Queen Street, from Orange Street to Chestnut Street, will close.

8:00 PM
The 100 block of North Queen will re-open.

FALL FEST

On Saturday, October 13, Hershey Avenue will be closed for Bright Side Opportunities Center's Fall Fest. 

9:00 AM 
The 500 block of Hershey Avenue, from Wabank Road to Hager Street, will close.

9:00 PM 
The 500 block of Hershey Avenue will re-open.

MAYOR'S TREE LIGHTING & TUBA CHRISTMAS

Penn Square and adjacent streets will be closed on Friday, November 23 for the Mayor's Tree Lighting & Tuba Christmas.

5:00 PM
000 block of North Queen Street, 000 block of South Queen Street, 000 block of East King Street and 000 block of West King Street close to traffic. 

9:00 PM
North and South Queen and East and West King Streets re-open. 

NEW YEARS EVE

On Monday, December 31, and Tuesday, January 1 the 100 block of North Queen Street will be closed for the New Year's Eve celebration in Binns Park. 

8:30 PM - Monday, December 31
The 100 block of North Queen Street, from Orange Street to Chestnut Street, will close.

1:00 AM - Tuesday, January 1
The 100 block of North Queen will re-open.
