The Code Compliance and Inspection – Housing Office provides all administrative support for the Property Reinvestment Board in the process of addressing vacant and blighted properties that are unfit for human habitation. The process may lead to the acquisition of these properties by the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Lancaster.
City staff is responsible for:
- Secretarial duties for the Board
- Negotiating agreements with property owners.
- Submitting legal advertising on the city web page and in the local newspaper
- Coordinating inspections and posting legal notices on subject properties.
