Lancaster Recreation Commission

The Lancaster Recreation Commission is an intergovernmental, nonprofit agency established jointly by the City of Lancaster, Lancaster Township, and the School District of Lancaster. Lancaster Rec provides over 400 neighborhood-based recreation and learning opportunities at schools, parks, playgrounds and a variety of indoor and outdoor facilities. Programs are available for people of all ages – with an emphasis on affordable opportunities for low-income children.

The Recreation Commission meets at noon on the last Wednesday of every other month: January, March, May, July, September, and November. Meetings are held at the Lancaster Recreation Center, 525 Fairview Avenue.
