Welcome to the City of Lancaster’s new website! Lancaster is on the cutting edge of things like green infrastructure, sustainability and art, but our old website did not suggest that. It was outdated, content heavy and difficult to navigate. We’re proud to introduce a shiny new website that not only looks great but functions well. Here are some of the features that we hope will improve residents’ experience on our site:
An “I need to…” menu and new search tool that allow users to quickly find information.
An updated directory to help point users in the right direction.
An alert bar on the homepage and the ability to sign up for e-alerts to keep residents updated.
A blog to highlight City happenings from the perspective of City employees, residents and others.
Maps that illustrate street cleaning routes, snow emergency routes, City parks and more.
To top it off, all of these features are optimized for mobile – you can access the City site on your smart phone or tablet without having to pinch, zoom or squint.
In addition to the new website, we've launched corresponding social media channels. You can now hear directly from the City via Facebook and Twitter, and use it as a means of open communication with us. We're also encouraging residents to download Nextdoor, a social app that allows you to engage with your neighbors.
We hope residents find this site to be a useful resource. If you have any questions or issues, feel free to use the new contact form to send us a note!
