Moving forward, Lancaster City will adhere to Lancaster County Solid Waste Management Authority's curbside recycling guidelines. To address the contamination issue, and ensure curbside recycling is sustainable, we are going “back to the basics” with the following four materials:
1) Corrugated cardboard (like shipping and packing boxes)
2) Metal food and beverage cans
3) Plastic bottles and jugs with a neck
4) Glass bottles and jars
Mixed paper, newsprint and chipboard will not be accepted curbside, however these materials, along with others, can be dropped off at the Recycling Drop-Off Center at 850 New Holland Avenue. Go to www.cityoflancasterpa.com/recycling-center for more information.
