Lancaster Public Art has partnered with the West Lancaster Jewels neighborhood group to paint a community mural on the street in front of Crystal Park at the intersection of Crystal St. and First St.
Artist Justin Jones, who lives in the neighborhood, helped create the mural design with input from residents. The design has been outlined on the street, and will be completed at the neighborhood block party on Saturday, June 29. The public is invited to help paint the mural at the block party.
The street mural is intended to foster neighborhood pride, create public art and promote traffic safety. Communities across the country have implemented similar murals.
